Tee-Time

         If Golfing is your passion or just a favorite pass time, we would be happy to make arrangements and schedule your tee time when you make your reservations with us!

       Each golfer will receive a $5.00 discount on green fees at a local golf course.

       Fire Ridge is a locally owned and operated Par 72 Championship Golf Course in the heart of Holmes County. This course offers 18 holes of rolling hills and beautiful scenery for both the serious and casual golfer.

Explore Amish Country Progressive Meal Tour Package

If you want more of a detailed and closer experience of the Amish then try a 12-hour progressive meal and tour package!
You will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts in 3 different homes, and during the course of the day you will tour the mural at Behalt Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center and learn the history of the Amish and Mennonites.  You will also tour the backloads and learn all about their customs and cultures. You will also have a chance to visit several Amish owned businesses such as a Candle maker, Basket maker, Buggy maker, General Store and more!

We would be happy to book you this tour when you make your reservations with us at Gileads on the Lake.

Itinerary:

8:30 a.m. – Arrive at Lehman’s Hardware for your Cast Iron Skillet Breakfast. (If you cannot make it for breakfast, you may use your voucher for lunch after we return from the tour.)

 9:30 a.m. – Depart for the Backroad Artisans Tour featuring a working Alpaca Farm and a Swartzentruber Basket Making demonstration at a private Amish homestead.

 11:30 –Return to Lehman’s.

 Each person will receive a small Cast Iron Skillet from Lehman’s Hardware as a souvenir.

 Price- $49 per person plus cost of room and taxes.

 

Artisans, Buggies & Cultural” Tour

Monday – Saturday , (April 12 – October 25, 2008)

Itinerary;

9:45a.m. – Arrive at Yoder’s Amish Home

 10:00a.m. - Depart with the local Backroad Tour Guide in sightseeing vehicle.

 ·        Detailed narration about the Amish Culture

·      Features stops at Amish Artisan’s small businesses

·        Snack break (on your own)

 1:30 p.m.- Return to Yoder’s Amish Home (Allow an additional 1 ½ hours)

 ·        Continue with the tour of 2 Amish homes, farm animals and barn

·       Buggy ride

·        See and tour the proto-type Amish one-room school house

 Price- $55 per person plus cost of room and taxes.

 

“Bits & Pieces” Tour & Meal

Monday – Wednesday (Year Round)

3:00 p.m.- Depart from Farmstead Restaurant

Includes:

·       Scenic, back road tour

·       Detailed narration about the Amish Culture

·       Features one or more stops at an Artisans’ small business

·       * 5:00 p.m.- Return if no meal

·       * 5:30 p.m.- Meal in an Amish Home

·       * 7:15 p.m.- Return to Farmstead Restaurant

·       Please note a minimum of 8 total reservations is needed for a meal in an Amish home. In the event that the minimum is not met or you do not desire to have dinner, you will return to Farmstead Restaurant at 5:00 p.m.

Discover and experience Amish country at sunset. Let us book you a Sunset Dinner Tour when you make your reservations at Gileads on the lake.

Itinerary:

 5:15 p.m. you will arrive at Farmstead Restaurant, you will have a choice of entrée on the menu, beverage and dessert of choice, tax and tip.

6:30 – Depart from Farmstead Restaurant in a sightseeing air- condition vehicle for a 2-hour tour.

Cost: $98.00 per couple plus room cost and taxes.
